Simon`s Sushi in Plano

Got a lunch to go because I was in the area... when they told me the Wednesday special was a salmon guacamole sashimi special, I knew I was in the right place... two of my favorite things combined... and the scallop nigiri was on point... the taste, the consistency, and texture... it’s one of those things that is small but tells you it’s a good sushi spot... I lived in NYC for 5 years before this and I’ve had good sushi... and Simon’s is definitely legit. I’ll be back

Good sushi. Good service. Very high in price you can find sushi this good for cheaper but if you got the cash 🤷‍♂️

Servings were too small compared to relative quality restaurants in the area. But place is nice and service is good.

Not sure if I went on an off day but the quality was very poor. So quality based on the high price I will not go back.

Chill atmosphere but some of the best sushi in the area.

This place is absolutely amazing. All other reviews so true great and friendly staff. First time here and definitely will be coming back. Tried a variety of rolls each so unique. Tried the Saturday special and was greatly surprised. Highly recommend for a great sushi experience.

This place has the best califonia rolls and i am sure all other plates are the same i dont eat row fish. My favorite place to eat

Simon’s Sushi has been my favorite sushi place for 10 years. Simon is the man and everything is on point. They have great rolls and the Spanish mackerel is amazing!

Simons is our favorite date night sushi place. Hands down best sushi in DFW. Awesome rolls and always super fresh. We enjoy sitting at the bar so we can talk to Simon and his family. Would definitely recommend to any sushi lover.

The worst Sushi place I never been in Dallas area. I ate Sushi 2 times a week every where in cross Dallas area, the services poor, agree with clients everything. I ordered 2 order of Sashimi 1 salad and a roll, it so fishy, not fresh over prices, services bad. I don't even eat one piece out of it, but my bill $46.82. Place dirty, bad foods, bad services. If you want want your money rude your month tastes then come to worst place ever see in my live..

THEY'RE BACK and as good as I remember. Simon's went through a bad patch but whatever the problem was they fixed it because their sushi is back to being extremely yummy! Especially the BTS ROLL - that stands for Better Than Sex and it's definitely a mouth 'gasm at the first savory bite. Try it!

Excellent sushi. Very fresh and prepared on the spot. Went there for lunch but tried some of the dinner options. The chef was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place. $$$$

This little restaurant holds a very giant delicious surprise inside! I would highly recommend trying this if you are in the area they have a role that is called BTS and it is absolutely fantastic the full name is better than S*x. It is hands-down the most tasty roll I have ever had! The place is BYOB so bring a bottle of wine some sake whatever your flavor is and enjoy the evening the prices are pretty reasonable and rolls are delicious!!!!!

Very friendly, attentive staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is beautiful. Most importantly, the sushi is superlative. I ordered the Manhattan Roll and it's now my second favorite sushi roll of all time, as well as a roll with tempura shrimp and topped with sweet crab, which is my third favorite roll of all time. The sushi here is an absolute must try. I will definitely be back

Food was great. Service is usually great with a laid back experience. After less than an hour of being there, our waitress asked us to leave because someone was waiting. I've never had that experience at a restaurant before and it ruined the environment I always liked about it. So...I recommend Tai Sushi House in Mckinney

Good sushi. Usually quick service aside from ordering drinks. Loud man at the sushi bar yells as you enter and leave.

Very creative sushi and sashimi in particular. Salmon rice paper was literally a 6 star sushi experience for us. Highly recommended!!

Thoroughly unimpressed. If you want reasonably priced quality sushi go to Sushi Town. I stopped in about 4 years ago and decided not to stay because I had a feeling the quality would be poor due to the shape of the restaurant. Seeing the good reviews I decided to give the place a chance. I order the caterpillar, the volcano, and the better than sex rolls. These are all signature rolls and were all subpar. The quality of the fish is simply poor.

Currently only open for Tale-out and Curbside. Fabulous! Some of the best sushi in the country!

At the moment you come to that place the stuff gives you an excellent feeling. Very comfortable team, it is a lovely restaurant to hang out with friends and colleagues or with your date. Great cuisine, professional chef, reasonable cost and excellent service. Warmly recommended.

Always great, never had any item we/I was disappointed in. Simon & family are welcoming & attentive in their service. Order some off menu things or have him create you something. LOVE the angel roll, 911 & spicy tuna handroll is BEST we've ever had. Giving a 5 cause some people gave 1 or 2.... it's top notch though.

It was good, but 2 rolls and the chicken teriyaki didn't fill me. Flavor was ok. I go to sushi places all over the country, and I can't say this is in my top 10. Oh ya, and no kani salad. That was really depressing.

Very good restaurant with a small, inviting atmosphere. We got tuna sashimi, uni, amaebi, halibut, tamago, a spider roll, a spicy tuna roll, and one other special roll that I can't remember the name of. I really think their spicy tuna roll is the best spicy tuna roll I've had.

I've been going to Simon's for several years. Their staff is always very attentive and friendly and the sushi is delicious! Ask for the Special menu.

Best tasting spicy tuna rolls of anywhere I’ve been (unique!), and I eat sushi 4-5 times a week. Simon is always there, and sous-chef Terry is quite skilled as well. BTS (better than s-x) and Mermaid rolls are my favs, or custom spicy tuna rolls with tuna outside. #911 rolls are also popular here, and their tempura veggies / shrimp, miso soup, and ginger salad dressing are also top-notch!

Good sushi, average price. All the fish was fresh and high quality! Ordered unagi salmon and tobiko nigiri, spider roll, spicy tuna and california roll, enjoyed it all. Salmon was impeccably fresh and spicy tuna perfectly seasoned. I wish the unagi were glazed a bit more but that's personal preference and it was very good regardless. Got delivery through postmates and the food was packed very well. Whatever soy sauce they use is rich and dark, good quality. I'll definitely order from here again and try more of their nigiri options next time.

Family owned restaurant with one of the best and most consistent dining experiences we have had in a sushi restaurant in the area. Sushi is always very fresh and flavorful.

Our friends turned us on to this place and we are so happy they did. We usually like to stick to downtown but this is worth the drive. Great service, friendly owners and the sushi is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Tonight solidifies this place as the best sushi we've had and we know our sushi. The ingredients are fresh and Simon has the creativity to make the simplest dishes explode with flavor and artistry. Remember to BYOB and too is included for 6 or more. Oh and March 11 is Simon's bday. Buy him a shot!!!

Food quality and presentation is wonderful. Staff are friendly and attentive. Bathroom condition needs work and cleaning. My wife said the woman's restroom is very clean, but the men's is not, and it's the male chef's that use the men's washroom. I felt dirtier after washing my hands that I did walking in. Previous post from 11 months go....Friendly, clean, wonderful food and atmosphere.

Simon's is absolutely the best sushi in Texas. Great service, wonderful family owned and operated business. A great place to bring friends and family and to meet new friends. EXCELLENCE across the board!

This is one of our favorite authentic vietnamese restaurants. Always fresh and delicious! We usually get the baked fish but since it was just the two of us ,had to try something else. Fish would have been way to much food! We tried the bun cha ha noi, great flavor in the meat, always give us plentiful noodles and veggies.

The sushi is always fresh and excellent here, Simon the chef is extremely nice and the staff is outgoing. Not a big place so there might be a little wait, but it's worth it. Always a new roll they are rolling out every weekend so look at the Specials Menu. Being a BYOB place is nice, with beer/liquor stores right across the way, we usually bring a few bottles of wine and have a great time. My favorite rolls are : 911, BTS, Jennifer, and Mermaid. ENJOY !!

Low-key sushi spot with great prices and variety of different rolls and other Japanese dishes. The bento boxes are a great deal and came out quickly. Waitresses were very nice. Can easily see this becoming a regular lunch spot for us.

The sushi and sashimi here is better that the other Guate places I've tried...ie. Sushi Itto, Nokiate. They have some other good asian dishes like ginger chicken, ramen, gyoza and udon noodles. Service is always good and the owner is usually there making sure all is well. Atmosphere is pleasant offering tables inside and out on the second floor of a shopping plaza. Continues to be my go to spot for sushi.
